A property group has been formed to look at the suitability of our current church building, the possibility of improving the building and/or acquiring a new building. The members of the group are Peter Cook (Chair), Philippa Cook, David Maggs and Andrew Sutherland. We would like to find out from as many people as possible who use or worship in our church building, what you think its strengths and weaknesses are and what your ideal building would look like. Please complete the following questionnaire (by using the link in the weekend email or completing a paper copy in the Room Downstairs) by 16 November.

Transport Ministry: If you are struggling to get to church, or to healthcare appointments, email transport@standrewsbaptist.org.uk or leave a message on 07388 616629. The coordinator will get in touch with you, and we will do our best to help you where we can.

The Annual Church Meeting is on Wednesday 26 November 2025 at 7:30pm in the Room Downstairs. Papers have been sent out be email but some printed copies are available in the church.

Elections of Deacons, Elders and Trustees: A huge thank you to all our deacons and elders for their continued dedicated services. In particular, we express our outmost thanks to David Moffitt who is retiring from the eldership after 9 years of service. We also owe our deep gratitude to Tony Jeavons, Steve Evans, and Paul Grinyer who are stepping down from the diaconate and eldership, respectively.
While we are still actively seeking for potential Deacons, Elders and Trustees, we are delighted that the following people are standing for (re)election or confirmation.
As Elders: Tamara Knudson, Tricia Tooman, Margaret Sutherland
As Deacons: David Harrison, David Maggs, Peter Cook, Jennifer Macgregor
As Trustees: Audrey Dryburgh

St Andrews Day Café in The Room Downstairs: Saturday 29 November, 11am-2pm: We are looking for volunteers to help serve tea/coffee and chat with passers-by from the community market being held on South Street, as part of St Andrews Day celebrations. For further information please speak with Ruth Jeavons or Barbara Maggs.

COP30 – a message from the Micah ministry group: Church members will be aware of the work of the Micah ministry helping the church to live out our call to act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with our God. As part of our ministry we aim to inform the church on issues related to social justice and creation care. Some of you will be aware that 10-21 November the rainforest city of Belem in Brazil will host COP30. It can seem daunting and almost impossible to stop the damage that is being caused worldwide by the climate crisis. However there is HOPE and solutions do exist! Tearfund is doing fantastic work and their staff will be attending COP30 and pushing for change. There’s lots of info on their website (https://tinyurl.com/5ywbuef4) and there are prayer points to use (https://tinyurl.com/cmuvdsxh). Please consider including these prayers in your own prayers and intercessory prayers over the next two weeks. Thank you!

Romanian Summer Camp, 5-12 July 2026: We are looking for volunteers who would like to go with a group from our church, to help Mihai and our American mission partners (International Sports Federation) run a children’s activity camp in Romania, next summer. This is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in short-term mission work. No previous experience required just enthusiasm and a desire to help children have fun and hear about Jesus. For more information please speak to or email Philippa and Peter Cook (philippa@standrewsbaptist.org.uk).

The BUS is hosting its national autumn prayer gathering on 14 November from 7-9pm and 15 November from 10am-4pm, both at Glenrothes Baptist Church. Friday evening will be a time of prayer, worship, and sharing stories, and Saturday will also include the AGM for the BUS. More details are available on the BUS website.

In just over three weeks the Scottish Baptist College will have their first on-campus Open Day for this academic year. The Open Days are great opportunities to explore studies and meet with staff and students alike. Register your interest through their online form: https://form.jotform.com/231422583739056
