Children must attend with an adult, tea/coffee provided. Please book online: https://shorturl.at/xiyUG. There is a suggested donation per session of £2 per child/£5 per family, paid on the day. Younger siblings can be accommodated.

Fellowship Room Refurbishment: As part of the ongoing refurbishment works new flooring is to be laid in the Fellowship Room from Thursday 13th until Friday 14th March 2025, inclusive, with the possibility of Saturday 16th March too. As this will require the relocation of tables, chairs, the piano and other items the downstair areas will be unavailable during these times, including the lounge. This will also require the removal of the existing carpet tiles. If anyone is interested in upcycling some of these, or all (for garden sheds/studios/ summer houses) please let David Maggs or Tony Jeavons know.

The next Quarterly Church Meeting is on Wednesday 26 March, 7:30pm in the Fellowship Room. Papers will be available next Sunday (15/03/25).

Card Reader: Due to ongoing technical problems the card reader is no longer available. Arrangements are in hand to purchase a replacement but in the interim if you do wish to make an on line donation to the Church please go the website or send a bank transfer to Sort Code 80-22-60 ; Account No 19340967.

There will be an important safeguarding training session for all church volunteers involved (or interested in being involved) with our children through creche, sticky saints or Beacon Kids and also with adults through pastoral care teams. Saturday 22 March 10:30-12:30 at the church. For more information please speak to Jenny Irwin or Jane Harrison.

The next James Gregory Public Lecture will be “Bringing Peace to Our World” given by Canon Sarah Snyder on Monday 17 March at 5:15pm in the main University Physics Lecture Theatre. Sarah Snyder specialises in Jewish-Christian-Muslim relations and was the Archbishop of Canterbury’s special advisor for reconciliation until 2021. In 2014 she founded the Rose Castle Foundation near Carlisle to help equip researchers to cross divides and transform conflict.

PRAYER ITEMS FOR MARCH:
Sunday: Give thanks to God for everything He has been doing in, among, for, to, and through us over the last month.
Monday: Give thanks to the Lord for the CU Events Week and pray for those who were exposed to the Gospel and those who are still searching; ask that they may have an encounter with God.
Tuesday: Give thanks for the Lord for our church children and families ministries and the similar ministries we have in partnership with Young Life. Pray for their leaders and the growth of these ministries.
Wednesday: Give thanks for the vision of Outreach Project 2035+ and pray for the Spirit to continue to lead us as we seek to implement it.
Thursday: Give thanks for this year of “Joining Jesus in His mission” and pray that we may not only be hearers of God’s word, but also doers of it.
Friday: Give thanks for other various existing outreach, discipleship and pastoral care ministries like the Farmers’ market, the Alpha course, Hope @ the Hub, Balnacarron, International gathering with In Hwa and Jae Ha, Awake, Home groups, etc.
Saturday: Give thanks for the amazing diversity among us; nationality, gifts, experiences, backgrounds, languages, tongues, etc. And pray for the continued reign of Christ our King in our minds and that we may yearn for many to worship Him.
