Safeguarding training advance notice: Saturday 28 March 2026, 10am-12pm in SABC. If you volunteer for: Tots+, Creche, Beacon Kids, Hot Chocolate, Rooted or Pastoral Care we would encourage you to attend our training each year but remind you that it is mandatory to attend at least every 2 years. A creche will be provided. For further info, please contact Philippa Cook, and please register your intention to attend by emailing: safeguarding@standrewsbaptist.org.uk
We are excited to share that creche and Beacon Kids will be thinking about “Meals and Messages” from now until Easter! This is a Bible programme that explores key Bible passages through the theme of food! Our verse for the series is Psalm 34:8 – Taste and see that the Lord is good. We hope that we can come together for a church family picnic in the Spring so that we can experience the joy of this verse together!
Student Weekend Away: Fri 6–Sun 8 March at the Windmill Centre in Arbroath. Join us for a weekend of rest, encouragement, and time together. All students and young adults welcome, whether or not you attend Awake on Wednesday evenings. Cost is £75 or pay what you can—we don’t want anyone to miss due to cost! Sign up on our website.
Lent evening services (beginning 15 February): we plan to embark on the season of Lent by walking with Jesus into the wilderness, and introducing the Desert Fathers and Mothers, our companions on this journey. Together we will fix our eyes on Jesus, so that we might approach Easter with a heart of prayerful pursuit. We are grateful for material, discussion questions and videos from Lectio 365 (24-7 prayer). Please do join us!

Update from church leadership retreat: our staff, trustees, elders, and deacons met for a day of prayer and retreat in January at Coastline Community Church. We celebrated a renewed spirit of passion for God’s vision for our church in 2026, shared time of fellowship together, and prayed for one another. To further foster collaboration and unity, the elders and deacons have agreed to meet at combined leadership meetings going forward. Please pray in support of our leadership team to continue to follow where the Lord leads our church.
