Sanctuary Mental Health Course: We will be running this course commencing Thursday 9th May and then every Thursday until 4th July, 4.15pm in the Fellowship Room. This is an opportunity to think, chat, and learn together about mental health in the context of Christian faith. If you are interested in joining the course, or want to find out a bit more before deciding, please speak to Jane Harrison or email

Transport Ministry: If you are struggling to get to church, or to healthcare appointments, email, and we will do our best to help.

Our church vision focus for 2024 is ‘Growing in and by the word of God’. A further help that some may not be aware of is a series of weekly questions from the Sunday morning sermon. Some of the home groups use these in their gatherings. If you would find this a helpful resource for your personal study, please contact Angus at and he will add your name to the list of recipients.

We have an opportunity this summer of partnering with Mihai in Romania and our friends at ISF (International Sports Federation) to help run a children’s multi-sport camp, with opportunities for bible teaching. We anticipate there being between 100-125 children from Calarasi. The dates are 22nd-30th June. No specific sporting skills are required just enthusiasm and a desire to introduce children to Jesus. If you are interested in helping, please contact Peter or Philippa Cook in person or via email.

Christian Aid Week May 12-18: Any volunteers to help with house to house collection that week in May? You are really needed! Please either speak to one of the Micah team or email

There will be a second exhibition and sale of original glasswork by Tony Jeavons on Saturday 1st June 10am-4pm in the Fellowship Room. There will be a variety of new work on display with something for everyone. Entrance is free. Do come along and bring your friends to help to raise money for Families First

Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church will have a focus on Caring for Creation on Rogation Sunday, which is traditionally associated with the blessing of the sowing season. We have a warm invitation from their Eco-group to join them afterwards: Sunday 5th May at 1pm. Bring your own picnic lunch to Boarhills village hall. Followed by a guided walk to Burnside Farm, the bluebell woods along the burn and on to the Coastal Path. We are urged to either car share, park in the village, or to take the No. 95 bus from Church Street at 12:38.

Sunday: Give thanks to God who is always at work and pray that, by His Spirit, He may continue to work in us, through us, and in spite of us for both the building up of His kingdom and for His glory.
Monday: Whether in your own life or in the life and witness of our church fellowship, ask the Lord to help us to look back and thank God. Look forward and trust God. Look around and serve God. Look up and seek God.
Tuesday: Pray for those in any sort of transition. Ask God for guidance and abiding presence as people work through some of the unknown or unwanted paths.
Wednesday: Pray that God continues to give us hearts that are open and not hardened to His Word.
Thursday: Pray for sufficient grace, peace and healing for those diagnosed with illness and those waiting for a hospital appointment.
Friday: Give thanks to God with K2, for doors continuing to open into schools and for recent curriculum sessions in the schools. And please pray for the door to open at Bell Baxter HS. Also ask God to reveal who He is to the children experiencing Bible Alive this term.
Saturday: Pray for our nation and the nations of the world. May God’s kingdom come, and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
