Stitch & Blether: 10:00-12:00 in the Fellowship Room. All welcome to share in fellowship, tea, coffee, cakes & crafts.

BUS Student/Young Adult Night: 18:30–20:30 in the Fellowship Room. As part of their weekend with our church, representatives from the Baptist Union of Scotland will be leading a student & young adult night on Friday 4 November. Dinner will be provided, all undergrads, postgrads, & young adults are welcome! Please email if you plan to come so we can know numbers for food.

Prayer Meeting:
09:00 on Zoom.

BUS Weekend event: 09:00-11:00, Breakfast, encouragement, conversation & prayer with church leaders of Baptist churches in Fife, sharing some thoughts around the Increase Vision for Scotland particularly focusing on the question “What do you see?”

BUS Weekend event: 14:00-16:00, Seminars, open to everyone in the church, “Nurturing Healthy Spirituality” & “The Lost Art of Curiosity in engaging with the Bible, people and life.”

Next Sunday

10:00: “Christ explained: image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15-23). Lisa Holmes & Andrew Clark (BUS) will be preaching. 

18:30: “Excited about God: a physicist looks at the universe”. Mike Wray will be preaching.


Helping fund ‘Schoolbags’, part of Mihai’s charity in Romania: a one year all round support into education for the marginalised poor (books, clothes, shoes) Donations to Matt, treasurer ( Thank you.

Pilgrim Care (Parish Nursing) AGM will be on Tuesday 22nd November at 19:00 at the St David’s Centre / Community Hub. Speaker: David Harrison. Refreshments provided. All welcome! 

Micah Ministry: Tearfund Scotland’s Climate Champions Course: This looks a really good course & we’re keen to make the most of it. Whilst Tearfund has devised it as an online course for individuals, we’d like to use it Alpha-style, meeting in someone’s home over a meal at 18:15 & then joining the Zoom via the TV screen at 19:30. Session 2: Thursday 3rd November, What you can do within your church with Less Waste Laura, activist & blogger. Session 3: Thursday 10th November, How to get others in your church onboard, with Rev Ian Wills, Trinity Church of the Nazarene, Perth. If you are interested in joining in with this then do speak to Paulus or any member of the Micah team or email 

In preparation for the Annual Church Meeting on Wednesday 30th November please note the following Deacons are retiring: Ken Cochran, Janet Richardson, Chris Walker. The following Deacons are due for & eligible for re-election: Cameron Bathgate, Jacqueline Mercer. Recently Co-opted Deacons are also eligible for election: Steve Evans, Tony Jeavons. Please send any deacon nominations after seeking agreement from the candidate to Church Secretary by Sunday 13th November 2022. Nomination forms are available at the bottom of the main stair of the church.

Also, please note that the following Elders are due and eligible for re-nomination by the elders & re-election by the church. Tamara Knudson, David Moffitt, Tricia Tooman.

Energy bill discount: Over the winter many of us will receive a discount from the government to our energy bills. Some of us will need this help, & should accept it gratefully. Others may be able to afford the increased bills. In order to support those in our community facing hardship this winter, the church leadership would like to encourage those who do not need the discount to donate this amount to the Hardship Fund. If you feel called to support this ministry then please make a designated offering by the Offering Box or bank transfer, or speak to Matt ( 

Prayers for the week:

Today: Give thanks for this new day as churches across the world gather together to worship the Living God. Pray that we may worship Him in truth & Spirit, & that we may be ministered to through His living Word. Pray for all the preachers that they may proclaim the gospel clearly & fearlessly.

Monday: Give thanks to the Lord for He is good & His love endures for ever, his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Tuesday:Pray for the Elders, for guidance as they meet this evening to pray, discuss & decide on spiritual matters for the advancement of God’s kingdom. Pray for their families & their jobs, business & life in general. In particular, continue to pray for Fiona

Wednesday: Pray for those leading & taking part in the Age matters course. Pray also for the mid-day service taking place today in the Fellowship Room & for the Mission Mobilisation Team as they too meet today to continue praying for & thinking of mission & missions partners

Thursday:Pray for those who are facing physical & mental health struggles. Pray for the Lord’s touch upon them.

Friday: Pray for the students & the Awake ministry. Pray as they meet this evening for a special event with the BUS. Pray also for the CU weekend away, starting today in Sterling. Pray that by His Spirit, the Lord be very much at work in all these gatherings. Pray for Ethan & Tamara, Emily Brown & all the leaders of these ministries.

Saturday: Pray for the ministries taking place in the church today with Lisa & Andrew from the BUS – for the breakfast, conversation & prayer with all the leaders of Baptist churches in Fife, & then for the seminars in the afternoon open to everyone. Pray for good attendance. Also pray for the Lord to speak & for those gathered to listen & be ministered to.

The morning service starts at 10:00, in-person & online, & includes creche & Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 18:30.
