Their combination of traditional and more contemporary Christmas songs makes this concert a refreshing addition to Christmas celebrations. All welcome! For more information see www.celtish.org.
CAROL SINGING IN TOWN! Please join with us for a time of carol singing on Saturday 16th December, 1.50-3.00pm, outside Holy Trinity Church, South Street. We will also be handing out Christmas goodie bags with Christian literature in them, while we chat with passersby.
Seasonal hospitality: Christmas and New Year are times of celebration, but can also be times of loneliness. If you would be willing to share your celebrations by inviting someone for a meal, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or speak to Jane Harrison. If you know of someone who might appreciate an invitation, or you yourself would like to be invited, again, please email email@example.com, or speak to Jane Harrison.
Christmas presents! When you are thinking of what to buy your friends and family, please think about buying something from the Fairtrade range. Oxfam have a good range of Fairtrade goods and you will be supporting farmers and women in Africa as well as pleasing your family. While our church Fairtrade stall is having a break, I am still happy to order rice, jams, coffee or chocolate on an individual basis – please contact Celia Sprot.
Families First Christmas Appeal: Christmas can be a very challenging time for some families, particularly with the continuing cost of living crisis. Every year Families First relies on the local community to help provide gifts for the children they support, and this year they are hoping to provide Christmas presents for 126 children and young people from across North East Fife! Any donations of new gifts and toys for children aged 5-16, or gift cards, will be gratefully received! You can also make a financial contribution via their website (www.familiesfirststandrews.org.uk). Please hand in any donations to their office before 8 December. You can find them at 2 Rose Lane, C/O 132 South Street, St Andrews, KY16 9EW (weekdays 9am–3pm, 01334 208086).
