Transport Ministry: It is sometimes difficult to get to health care appointments, and this can bring added stress when facing health concerns.  Help may be found within the church family – did you know that we have a list of drivers who are willing to be asked to help out? So, if you are anticipating an appointment and are unsure how to get there, we may be able to help you. Contact the coordinator through If you are a driver who is willing to be contacted by the coordinator (without obligation), please speak to Jane Harrison or email **Please note that this is not a taxi service, nor an ambulance service, but simply a way of helping to match those in need with church friends and family who may be able to assist with transport**

Coffee Cup Fridays: Fridays 10-11:30AM in St Mark’s Church (opposite the bus station). Join us for tea, coffee and biscuits and a warm space.

Date for your diary: The Pilgrim Care AGM this year will be on the evening of Thursday 9th November at the St David’s Centre/Hub.

From the treasurer: If you are a UK tax payer, then giving by Gift Aid allows SABC to claim an additional 25p from HMRC for every £1 you donate. Last year, Gift Aid additional claims made up approximately 15% of StABC’s income. If you are a higher rate taxpayer then you will also be able to reclaim income tax personally on your gift. The process is very easy and you do not have to decide in advance how much you want to give. For more information, please contact Matt or speak to a Deacon who can arrange a form for you.

Note for the prayer items for May: The prayer items for May are mainly focused on Mission. In particular, we will be spending at least three days of the week praying for Nagaland (a State in the North-Eastern Region of India). We heard about Nagaland from Lungdau, a student who regularly attends our church and who gave an inspiring and challenging presentation about it. So, from the plea that was given, we decided to bring that land before the throne of God’s grace in prayer. Lungdau’s talk is saved in our sermon archive podcast (as are all our sermons!) if anyone missed it and wants to hear more about Nagaland ( )

Sunday: Give thanks to God for His unfailing love, His life-giving, transforming Word, and His mighty works among, around and in us.

Monday: Pray for the spiritual growth of believers in Nagaland. Although Nagaland is an overwhelmingly Christian state (all 60 elected members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly are Christians), there is greed and corruption everywhere, which is why they are yet to see good roads, healthcare, education and so on.

Tuesday:Pray for a Naga political solution. The Nagas have been demanding independence/greater autonomy since the 1940s. Despite several agreements and ceasefires, a permanent resolution to the issue has been elusive, and the talks are ongoing.

Wednesday: Pray that the Nagaland church would not forget its God-given opportunity to witness to the nations around her and fulfil the mission of the Church. Nagaland is located in a strategic place surrounded by non-Christian nations like Myanmar in the East, China/Bhutan in the North (Buddhist majority), mainland India in the West (Hindu majority), and Bangladesh in the South (Muslim majority).

Thursday: Pray for peace in countries torn by wars (Ukraine, Russia, Sudan, etc). Pray for those involved in the peace/reconciliation. Pray for Churches on the ground, for continued witness, and as well as churches and Christian organisations outside these countries offering help.

Friday: Pray for our mission partners and their God-given ministries.

Saturday: Pray for Revival in our town and our Nation.
