Harvest Sunday, 4 October: Dear church, we plan, as usual, to decorate the church for our Harvest Sunday which will be on 4 October. It would be wonderful if you could bring donations, and harvested fruit and vegetables, either on the Sunday itself, or on the Saturday. We will be decorating the church on Saturday morning 3 October from 11am. If you would like to be involved please come along and/or speak to one of the Micah team. We plan to also ask for donations for Storehouse foodbank and nearer the time we will notify you all about what they need. Thank you from the Micah team.
The Special Offering on Sunday 4 October 2026 will be for the local food bank – Storehouse. For more information, see their website: www.storehousestandrews.com/
Benjy Wang will be stepping down from his role as Church Treasurer at our ACM in November. We are very grateful for the time, care, and service he has given in this role. As we look ahead, please be in prayer for the church and for the right person to take on this important responsibility. If you feel that you might be called or able to serve as Treasurer, or would simply like to know more about what the role involves, please speak to a member of the Leadership Team or Trustees.
Over the years members of the congregation have volunteered to serve as trustees of Families First. The decision on appointment is made by the Board of Families First, but they are always happy to look at names we put forward. Currently, Jane Holmes is the only trustee directly linked to the church, so we are keen to provide additional names if possible. If you feel this role might be for you please speak to Jane or any previous, recent trustees which includes Ian Smith, Tony Jeavons, Barbara Maggs or David Harrison, to find out more.
Baptist Union of Scotland: An invitation to online prayer gatherings ahead of the announcement of the next General Director of the BUS at the Autumn Gathering on Saturday 14 November. The next meetings are: Tuesday 29 September (8-8.30pm) and Tuesday 27 October (8-8.30pm).
