This Sunday: 10:00: “God is here!” (Isaiah 40:1-5 & John 1:1-18). Paulus de Jong will be preaching. This service will include Communion.

18:30: Joint Worship Service with Cornerstone. Benjy Wang will share a devotion at the service. All Welcome!

Rooftop Ministry training session: 19:30 in the Fellowship Room


Annual Church Meeting: 19:30 in the Fellowship Room. The reports for the meeting have been sent out with the weekend email but some copies are also available in the church.

Postgrad & Young adults: 18:30 at the Rowe’s.

Awake Undergraduate Gathering: has finished for the term, we’ll look forward to resuming in 2023!

Prayer Meeting:
09:00 on Zoom.

Next Sunday:

10:00: “The Messiah’s first Advent announced” (Luke 1:26-38). Abi Ngunga will be preaching.

18:30: “Excited about God!”. Steve Holmes will be preaching.


The Church Annual Meeting is on Wednesday 30th November 2022 at 7:30PM in person in the Fellowship Room. The reports for the meeting have been sent out with the weekend email but some copies are also available in the church.

The following have been nominated & will be brought to the Annual Church Meeting to be considered for election/re-election as follows: Deacons: Cameron Bathgate, Peter Cook, Stephen Evans, Tony Jeavons, David Maggs. Elders: Tamara Knudson, David Moffitt, Tricia Tooman.

CAROL SINGING IN TOWN!!!: Please join us on Saturday 10th December, 14:00-15:00, next to Holy Trinity Church, South Street. We need people to come & sing carols with our Praise Band & others to hand out Christmas bags to passersby. Meet at Holy Trinity at 13:50.

Energy bill discount: Over the winter many of us will receive a discount from the government to our energy bills. Some of us will need this help, & should accept it gratefully. Others may be able to afford the increased bills. In order to support those in our community facing hardship this winter, the church leadership would like to encourage those who do not need the discount to donate this amount to the Hardship Fund. If you feel called to support this ministry then please make a designated offering by the Offering Box or bank transfer, or speak to Matt ( 

Prayers for the week:

Today: As we begin the journey through Advent, give thanks to God that he sent his Son to save us.

Monday: Pray that our hearts be filled with expectations to have various encounters with the Lord this week.

Tuesday:Pray for all those we said farewell to this year, that the Lord continues to bless them & use them wherever they are.

Wednesday: Pray for our Annual Church Meeting this evening, that the Lord gives us discernment & wisdom in all the discussion & decisions to be made.

Thursday:Give thanks to God for all that He has done for us as church throughout 2022 as highlighted in the papers for the ACM & yesterday at the ACM itself.

Friday: Give thanks for God’s faithfulness in the lives of all those who are graduating this week & pray that the Lord may continue to guide them in their journeys ahead.

Saturday: Pray for the conversion of those who are yet to believe.

You will be prompted for a Participant ID; just enter the # key again. When prompted for a password enter 777 followed by the # hash key. You will be connected to the meeting / service. (It is possible you will be given a different Meeting ID by the person arranging the meeting. If so, use the Meeting ID number you are given).

To join in online with video: Go to & follow the instructions given to join Zoom & download the APP(lication).

The morning service starts at 10:00, in-person & online, & includes creche & Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 18:30.
