From the Micah team: Christian Aid’s response to the recent UK Govt announcement to reduce overseas aid is available through this link (https://tinyurl.com/ymsxu546) and for those who wish to get involved there is a call to action to sign a petition. Thank you.

From Fiona Barnard: Godly Play is hosting a discovery day at St Andrew’s, St Andrews on 31 May 10am-4pm. Godly Play is a powerful way of entering into Bible stories for children, but also for adults. I love it and recommend it highly. More info in person or to sign up online at godlyplayscotland.co.uk

Christian Aid Week 2025: 11-17 May. Many of you will already be aware of Christian Aid and the incredible work they do across the world. Did you also know that each year in May, a door-to-door collection is carried out in support of Christian Aid week? In St Andrews all the churches work together in this door-to-door collection. Last year a grand total of £8,900 was raised of which the Baptist Church collectors raised £714 (£415 of which was gift aided too). This year’s Christian Aid week is seeking to raise funds to help support farmers with vital tools and training so communities can fight the effects of the climate crisis. Could you help by walking along a couple of streets delivering and collecting the envelopes? If so, please speak to Caroline or Mark Rochford who are the church’s new representatives. Thank you.

Cheryl Smith is taking part in the London Marathon to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. You can support her online by going to her Just Giving page: https://tinyurl.com/5cpetez7
