Children, Youth and Families Worker update: We are inviting pledges to support the Children, Youth and Families Worker role approved at the March Quarterly Church Meeting.
So far, an additional £26,592 per year has been pledged or raised— 89% of our £30,000 goal. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed. As a reminder, the deadline for pledges is the end of Sunday 3rd of May 2026, but we would love to hit the goal before then so we can start advertising and looking for suitable candidates.
If you would like to support this, you can:
Make a pledge online at standrewsbaptist.org.uk/pledge
Speak to a member of the leadership or staff team to request a paper form (these can be returned in the offering bag or box on a Sunday).
If you would prefer to increase your giving straight away rather than make a pledge, you can set up or increase a monthly standing order starting in April. Please let the treasurer know (treasurer@standrewsbaptist.org.uk, or in person).

Christian Aid Week 10-16 May 2026: For one week every year thousands of people across Britain give, fundraise, pray and act together to stand alongside people living in poverty around the world. This year we are looking for volunteers to help deliver (and in some cases collect) envelopes in St Andrews as part of the fund-raising efforts for Christian Aid week. Last year the total raised was £7,930!
Can you help us please? The deliveries range from between 40-60 envelopes so shouldn’t take you too long! Great exercise, great opportunity to talk about Christian Aid and gets our faith on our streets! If you can help, or would like more information, please see Mark or Caroline Rochford or email them on micah@standrewsbaptist.org.uk or markyncaro@hotmail.com.

PRAYER ITEMS FOR APRIL:
Sunday: Pray that we might live in the light of Christ’s resurrection, ambassadors of joy and hope in the knowledge that he is risen indeed.

Monday: Pray for the global church going into the season of Easter, that the body of Christ the world over would be beacons of peace and hope in a troubled world.

Tuesday: Pray for our leadership team, as they serve the needs of our community and shepherd our church.

Wednesday: Pray for those in our congregation who are ill or in pain. Ask the Lord to bring healing and comfort, and ask for peace for them and their families.

Thursday: Pray for the expectant mothers in our congregation, that the Lord would safeguard them and their babies through healthy pregnancy and birth.

Friday: Pray for those in our community who do not know the Lord, that he would make his name known to them, and that they would receive his gift of the Gospel.

Saturday: Pray for the students in our community as they navigate the challenges of upcoming exams and plans for the future. Pray that God would bless them and provide for them, and that they would reflect his light to those in their studies.

The morning service starts at 10am, in-person and online, and includes crèche and Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 6:30pm.
