Weekly Bulletin – 22 November 2024

A warm welcome to all who are worshipping with us this Sunday—whether you are with us in person, online or joining us over the telephone!
For Sunday service information, see below. You can access our services through our website (www.standrewsbaptist.org.uk)

This Sunday:10am: Angus Ross will be preaching on “Suffering for the Lord’s sake” based on 1 Peter 4:12-17. This service will include Communion. If you are joining us online, please have your juice/wine and bread ready.
Special Collection: The Special Collection during the Communion service on Sunday 24th November will be for Blythswood Care Shoebox Appeal. Since their first Shoe Box Appeal in 1993 they have sent more than 2.6 million boxes – each one different, each one personal, each one an expression of your care and kindness towards a stranger in need. Filled with small, practical items such as toiletries, stationery, and clothing, the individually-wrapped boxes have been distributed in schools, hospitals, orphanages and care homes, and to households in very low income communities. Many have gone to people affected by the war in Ukraine.
6:30pm: Young Kwang Song will be preaching on “The Spirit of Jesus Did Not Permit Them”, from Acts 16:6-10.
6:30-8:30pm: Rooted (P7–S2) and Impact (S3–S6) Youth Groups. For details or to sign up, parents email rooted@standrewsbaptist.org.uk or impact@cornerstonestandrews.org

Sunday: Count at least five blessings from God to us as a church and be thankful to Him for them. Ask Him that we may live a life worth living for the One who has tremendously blessed us.
Monday: Give thanks to God for another week gone by and a new one starting. Pray for all the ministries that lie ahead of us as a church. Pray that we may be empowered to do them all by the Holy Spirit.
Tuesday: Pray for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to be held in high honour in our church, our lives, in our communities, in our nation(s), in those who govern us, and in the world.
Wednesday: Continue to pray for the healing and strength for those who are experiencing mental and physical health struggles.
Thursday: Pray for unity in the church and peace in the world.
Friday: Pray for the persecuted church (Christians who are really suffering because of their faith). Pray that they may continue to stand their ground in the face of suffering.
Saturday: Continue to pray for folks (in our family, our neighbourhoods and among our friends) who do not yet know Jesus Christ, and have not yet accepted him as their Saviour and Lord, to come to faith. Think of a least one person and pray for them.

The morning service starts at 10am, in-person and online, and includes crèche and Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 6:30pm.
