This Sunday:

10AM: “Christ revealed: servant”, based on Isaiah 42:1 & Mark 10:45. David Moffitt will be preaching.

5PM: “Rooftop Global Encounter”. Paul Grinyer will be preaching. (NOTE change of start time for the service for this week only). Click here for an informational packet referenced during this service.

Tuesday: Elders Meeting: 7:30PM

Wednesday: Short Service: 2:30PM in the Fellowship Room

Thursday: Hope @ the Hub: 1:30PM in the St David’s Centre.

Postgrad & Young adults: 6:30PM at the Rowe’s.

Friday: Stitch & Blether: 10AM in the Fellowship Room. All welcome to share in fellowship, tea, coffee, cakes & crafts.

Saturday:Prayer Meeting: 9AM on Zoom.

Next Sunday:

10AM: “Christ revealed: Son of God” based on Luke 3:21-38. Abi Ngunga will be preaching.

6:30PM: Praise & Prayer Evening led by Ethan & Tamara Knudson. This service will include Communion so, if you are joining us online, please have your juice/wine & bread ready.

In preparation for the Annual Church Meeting on Wednesday 30th November please note the following Deacons are retiring: Ken Cochran, Janet Richardson, Chris Walker. The following Deacons are due for & eligible for re-election: Cameron Bathgate, Jacqueline Mercer. Recently Co-opted Deacons are also eligible for election: Steve Evans, Tony Jeavons. Please send any deacon nominations after seeking agreement from the candidate to Church Secretary by Sunday 13th November 2022. Nomination forms are available at the bottom of the main stair of the church.

Also, please note that the following Elders are due and eligible for re-nomination by the elders & re-election by the church. Tamara Knudson, David Moffitt, Tricia Tooman.

Prayers for the week:

Today: Give thanks to God for He is good & His love endures forever.

Monday: Pray for those who have been recently bereaved, especially Janet & family as they continue to wait & hold the funeral & thanksgiving service of Sheila a week on Monday.

Tuesday:Pray for the elders as they meet this evening, that they Lord will inspire them & guide them in their discussion and decisions.

Wednesday: Give thanks to the Lord for the away day we had & all that which the Lord said to us. Pray that we are not only people who listen to the word, but also those who do what it says.

Thursday:Pray for all those affected directly & indirectly by the war in Ukraine & all those suffering from injustice & the aftermath of flooding/drought as effects of climate change.

Friday: Pray for all those within our church & throughout our land who are taking the Alpha course, that the Lord may speak to them.

Saturday: Pray for the missionaries we know or support (& those we don’t know or support) that the Lord continues to bless them & use them in their missionary enterprise.

To join in church services & prayer meetings by telephone: Dial 0131 460 1196. When prompted for your Meeting ID, enter 726 034 6887 followed by the # key. You will be prompted for a Participant ID; just enter the # key again. When prompted for a password enter 777 followed by the # hash key. You will be connected to the meeting / service. (It is possible you will be given a different Meeting ID by the person arranging the meeting. If so, use the Meeting ID number you are given).

To join in online with video: Go to https://us04web.zoom.us/j/7260346887 & follow the instructions given to join Zoom & download the APP(lication).

The morning service starts at 10:00AM, in-person & online, & includes creche & Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 6:30PM.
