Weekly Bulletin – 2 June 2024

10am: David Harrison will be preaching on “Recognising others (part 2)” based on Romans 16:1-2.
6:30pm: Kang-San Tan from BMS will be preaching on “Skilful living amidst life’s enigmas” based on Eccl. 1:1-11; 12:13-14.
Rooted and Impact have finished for this term. Rachel is organising some youth gatherings throughout the summer, contact for more information!

Prayer Meeting:
9am on Zoom.

Paulus de Jong will be preaching on “Keeping away from fake teaching” based on Romans 16:17-19.
6:30pm: Clayton Mills will be preaching on “More of His humility” based on Phil. 2:5-8. This service will include Communion.

Transport Ministry: If you are struggling to get to church, or to healthcare appointments, email, and we will do our best to help.

Shipwrecked! Holiday Club: Volunteers needed! Our upcoming holiday club takes place at Canongate Primary School playing fields, mornings of Monday 11th August through Friday 16th August. If you like to work with primary school aged children and would like to join us in this week full of adventure, please contact Tiny. (

Staff annual leave: Abi will be on leave Monday 27 May to Tuesday 11 June 2024 inclusive.

Volunteers Needed: Pilgrim Care is looking for volunteers to help serve light lunches to their elderly groups on Wednesdays and Mondays. If you enjoy making soup and baking -even better! The groups are very friendly and grateful to meet for lunch and banter. After the meal, volunteers wash up and put away. For further information please contact Celia Sprot.

Sunday: Give thanks to God for His work by His Spirit through the church. Pray that we may continue to be guided as we seek the way forward, filling in ministry gaps created by the upcoming departure of the De Jong’s family and the stepping down of Ethan from Rooted. Pray too for a clear direction regarding the Micro-churches vision.
Monday: Pray for the UK general election set for 4 July. Pray for all the campaigns to run smoothly and safely. Pray for healing of divisions and hurts that are too often exposed during such a time. Pray for candidates. Pray for godly and servant leaders to be elected. Pray for thankfulness and healing of winners and losers respectively.
Tuesday: Pray for the ministry of Young Life. Pray specifically for all the events to take place during the summer, that youngsters may be drawn to attend them, be exposed to the Gospel and make commitment to follow Jesus. Pray for the leaders of this ministry.
Wednesday: Pray for the ministry with Mihai in Romania over this summer, in particular the children’s multi-sport summer camp. Pray for safety travels of our own folks and those friends at International Sports Federation will be there in Romania for these ministry activities.
Thursday: Pray for healing and sufficient grace for those struggling with health issues. Pray for strength for those who are lovingly caring for them.
Friday: Pray for those who are graduating, for their parents and friends attending their graduation ceremonies. Pray for a clear guidance from the Lord as they move further afield.
Saturday: Pray for the Lord to return – with just one word: MARANATHA!

The morning service starts at 10AM, in-person & online, & includes crèche & Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 6:30PM.
