NOTICES:
A property group has been formed to look at the suitability of our current church building, the possibility of improving the building and/or acquiring a new building. The members of the group are Peter Cook (Chair), Philippa Cook, David Maggs and Andrew Sutherland. We would like to find out from as many people as possible who use or worship in our church building, what you think its strengths and weaknesses are and what your ideal building would look like. Please complete the following questionnaire (by using the link in the weekend email or completing a paper copy in the Room Downstairs) by 16 November.
Transport Ministry: If you are struggling to get to church, or to healthcare appointments, email transport@standrewsbaptist.org.uk or leave a message on 07388 616629. The coordinator will get in touch with you, and we will do our best to help you where we can.
Find out more about being a deacon: The Church Annual Meeting includes election, or re-election, of deacons who serve in many practical ways, often behind the scenes. If you want to know more about what is involved and consider whether this an area of service for you, please speak to David Harrison or any other deacon to find out more.
Glow Party: Once again, we are delighted to be working with churches across St Andrews on 26 October 3:30-5:30pm to offer a fun filled afternoon of activities for children. Please note, tickets are now sold out for this event. You can join the waiting list for tickets by emailing standrews.churches.holidayclub@gmail.com

PRAYER ITEMS FOR OCTOBER:
SUNDAY: Give thanks to God for the approval of the Israel-Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal. Pray for things to go well according to this deal. Above all, pray for Christ, the Prince of Peace, to be known and to be received among the people there.
MONDAY: Give thanks for the wedding of Derek and Amy. Pray for them, and for all the couples and families in our church, to have a healthy and strong relationship. Pray for health and strength for those who are single as well.
TUESDAY: Give thanks for the freedom we have in this country to worship the Lord without fear or restriction. Pray that we, as believers, may continue to be light and salt in this world.
WEDNESDAY: Give thanks for all that we learn from the persecuted church. Pray for endurance and protection of the believers in those churches.
THURSDAY: Give thanks for our own children’s ministry. Pray for fun and protection for all the kids, and for joy and strength among the parents during this October holiday break. Pray that the teachers and staff would be rejuvenated during this break.
FRIDAY: Give thanks for all that we have learned from the people who have gone before us to be with the Lord and pray for the recent bereaved families in our church.
SATURDAY: Give thanks for Malcom and Carrie Lyons and family, for their ministry to the Arab World. Pray that the Lord may speak to us as we listen to them during their visit with us tomorrow.
