THIS SUNDAY:
10am, Ruth McCaig will bring a message based on 2 Timothy 3:10-17.
6:30pm,Waiting on God: expectancy”, based on Mark 11:12-25 and Psalm 69:3.Abi Ngunga will be preaching.

Angus Ross will be preaching on “Good News: struggle and victory” based on Romans 7:1-8:4. This service will include Communion
6:30pm, Abi Ngunga will be preaching at our “Praise and Prayer Service”.

Annual Church Meeting: this year’s Annual Church Meeting is on Wednesday 29th November at 7:30pm in the Fellowship Room. The papers for the meeting have been sent out by email and are also available in the Church. If you can’t make it to the meeting, please send apologies to David Harrison on secretary@standrewsbaptist.org.uk

Exam Prayer: We love to support students in prayer as they sit their exams! If you would like the church to pray for you, email Ethan and Tamara at students@standrewsbaptist.org.uk with the dates and subjects of your exams and final assignments and we will add you to the list!

Christmas presents! When you are thinking of what to buy your friends and family, please think about buying something from the Fairtrade range. Oxfam have a good range of Fairtrade goods and you will be supporting farmers and women in Africa as well as pleasing your family. While our church Fairtrade stall is having a break, I am still happy to order rice, jams, coffee or chocolate on an individual basis – please see Celia Sprot.

Book Launch: Landscape of Hope: an illustrated journey into the Psalms. 21 November 7:30pm at St Andrews Bowling Club. All are welcome to the launch of this beautiful book on Psalms 1-14 by Heather Holdsworth. Great for personal prayer and as a gift.

Talk by Rev Muriel Pearson, Church of Scotland Mission Partner, Israel and Palestine. Saturday 25 November, 2.30pm in St Leonard’s Church, KY16 9DF. Muriel will be speaking about her work and about life in Israel and Palestine. All are welcome at this very timely event. Please share widely.

Families First Christmas Appeal: Christmas can be a very challenging time for some families, particularly with the continuing cost of living crisis. Every year Families First relies on the local community to help provide gifts for the children they support, and this year they are hoping to provide Christmas presents for 126 children and young people from across North East Fife! Any donations of new gifts and toys for children aged 5-16, or gift cards, will be gratefully received! You can also make a financial contribution via their website (www.familiesfirststandrews.org.uk). Please hand in any donations to their office before 8 December. You can find them at 2 Rose Lane, C/O 132 South Street, St Andrews, KY16 9EW (weekdays 9am–3pm, 01334 208086).

PRAYER ITEMS FOR NOVEMBER:
Focused on the Conflict in the Middle-East.
Sunday: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, hope and security for the entire region of the Middle-East, that the Lord Jesus Christ be known and for the Israelis and Palestinians to experience life lived in peace and freedom with one another.
Monday:
Pray for the God of all comfort to be with those who are grieving the loss of their loved ones both in our midst as well as in regions with conflicts and wars.
Tuesday: Pray for those who have been, and are being, wounded during the conflicts and for those providing medical assistance to them.
Wednesday: Give thanks to God for the hostages who have been released and pray for their healing from trauma. Also pray for the release of the remaining hostages and pray for mediators and peace-makers.
Thursday: Pray that Christians from around the world will unite in both prayer for peace in all the regions affected by conflicts and wars, as well as in demonstrating the love of Christ to all peoples.
Friday:
Pray God to use us His church here in St Andrews as effective witness in and around our communities during this challenging time, through the power of the Holy Spirit and all for His glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus.
Saturday:
Join the Spirit and cry out in prayer saying: “Marana tha” (Come, O Lord!)

The morning service starts at 10AM, in-person & online, & includes creche & Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 6:30PM.
