In July and August creche will be set up each week in the room downstairs during the morning service. Parents will be responsible for their own children while they are in creche. A rota with volunteers for creche will start again in September.

Extraordinary Church Meeting: We wish to call an Extraordinary Church Meeting on 20 August at 7:30pm in the Room Downstairs to hear a proposal from the leadership team (elders and deacons) to address staffing following recent changes. A document has been circulated in advance of the meeting so that everyone will have opportunity to think and pray, ask questions and comment even if they are unable to attend on the evening of the meeting.

The Special Offering during the Communion service on Sunday 24 August 2025 will support Open Doors (https://opendoorsuk.org/). Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. In more than 60 countries, Open Doors supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term. In the UK and Ireland, Open Doors helps the church to pray, give and speak out for those who share our faith but not our freedom.

PRAYER ITEMS FOR AUGUST:
Today: Give thanks to God for all those who have recently come to faith through the various ministries that have taken place during this summer. Pray that they may find a fertile soil (such as a church, a home-group, etc) where they can be nurtured and grow spiritually.
Monday:
Pray for the individuals, couples, and families that have moved away, as they settle in their new environment and that the Lord may provide a church family for them where they can serve and be ministered to.
Tuesday:
Pray for the summer Holiday Club held here in St Andrews by churches, and for the return of pupils and teachers to school this month.
Wednesday:
Pray for our mission partners – those who are working locally and abroad. Pray for good their health and effective, fruitful ministries in all they do and seek to do.
Thursday:
Pray for the leaders of the nations who are seeking to mediate for peaceful resolutions in various countries and regions worn out by conflicts, wars and famine. Pray for peace and justice for the victims of these conflicts and wars.
Friday:
Pray for those who have been recently bereaved, that the Lord of all comfort will continue to comfort them in all their sorrows, so that they may comfort those in any trouble with the comfort they themselves are receiving from him.
Saturday:
As we join Jesus in His mission, pray for the people to whom we are led to reach out to, that their arguments and every pretention that sets itself up against the knowledge of God may be demolished and that every thought be taken captive and be made obedient to Christ.

The morning service starts at 10am, in-person and online, and includes crèche and Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 6:30pm.
