5 July no evening service: There will be a Young Life Summer Slam Commissioning service at 4pm on Sunday 5 July in Cupar. Therefore, we will shift our evening service that Sunday to Cupar Old Parish Church to join YL and support them. So, there will be no evening service in our church on 5 July.

Children, Youth, Families Worker recruitment update: Dear church family, The search committee met to discuss the applications received for the vacancy on Wednesday 3 June. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to the next stage which will be the first round of interviews. Those who were not shortlisted for interview will also be contacted. We would appreciate your continued prayers while we proceed with this process. With thanks, The search Committee

Proposed building plans for St Andrews Baptist Church: As you’ll hopefully be aware from the last QCM, the location working group is suggesting that we consider a renovation to our church building and Rose Lane Centre. At our next QCM on 17 June, we will present in detail: the results of our church survey, all the options we have investigated, initial architect plans and preliminary cost implications. Papers outlining these reports will be distributed to the church in the usual manner, prior to the QCM. At the QCM, we are seeking permission from members to progress plans to a stage where they can be costed by a quantity surveyor so that we can have an overall picture of the cost implications of each element, which will guide members in our decision-making moving forward.

There will be initial architect plans displayed in the Room Downstairs on: 24/5, 31/5, 7/6 & 14/6. Members of the working group will be present and available to answer questions.

We would appreciate that any questions arising be submitted to Philippa (philippa@standrewsbaptist.org.uk) prior to the QCM so that we can collate them for the meeting.

Best wishes, The Location Working Group

Every summer the churches in St Andrews work together to run a Holiday Club for children in P1- P7. This years club, “A tale of Two Kings”, will be held at the Cannongate Primary School Field from 11-14 August. There will be lots of fun games, songs, activities and great bible stories each day. We are looking for teen and adult volunteers who would like to help during the week of the club. If you are interested in volunteering please speak to Jenny Irwin, Margaret Sutherland or Caroline Rochford.

You are warmly invited to Tyler’s ordination and induction as Associate Minister for Worship and Families at Cupar Baptist Church (79 Bonnygate, Cupar) at 2pm on Saturday 27 June 2026. Hope you can be there! RSVP to baptistchurchcupar@gmail.com.

PRAYER ITEMS FOR JUNE:

Sunday: Give thanks for the freedom to worship the Lord. Thank the Lord for the freedom we have in this country to gather on this Lord’s Day to worship Him.

Monday: Give thanks and pray for the persecuted global church. Thank the Lord for the numeric and spiritual growth of Christians in countries where there is persecution. Pray for the strength of those Christians and for the victory of the Lord Jesus in those countries.

Tuesday: Pray for the preaching of the gospel to the poor. Pray for sinners to realise how bankrupt they are so they accept the wonderful offer of salvation when it is being presented to them.

Wednesday: Pray for the healing of the broken-hearted. Pray for the Lord to comfort those in sorrow; bring physical and spiritual healing to those who are heartbroken; and peace to those that are troubled, weary and bearing heavy-burdens.

Thursday: Pray for the deliverance of the captives. Pray for those in bondage to the work of evil and demons (manifested in various addictions, for instance) or in bondage to guilt, to be set free.

Friday: Pray for the recovery of sight for the blind. Pray for the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ to penetrate the minds of those whom the god of this age has blinded.

Saturday: Pray for the liberty of the bruised. Pray for the Lord’s favour and victory upon those who are oppressed, bruised and bearing various inviable scars due to the various battles and trials they have been facing.

The morning service starts at 10am, in-person and online, and includes crèche and Beacons Kids’ provision. The evening service starts at 6:30pm.
