Energy bill discount: Over the winter many of us will receive a discount from the government to our energy bills. Some of us will need this help, & should accept it gratefully. Others may be able to afford the increased bills. In order to support those in our community facing hardship this winter, the church leadership would like to encourage those who do not need the discount to donate this amount to the Hardship Fund. If you feel called to support this ministry then please make a designated offering by the Offering Box or bank transfer, or speak to Matt (treasurer@standrewsbaptist.org.uk).

Prayers for the week:

Today: Give thanks to the Lord that we belong to him, & pray that many of those who have not yet called on the name of Lord hear the good news & accept it.

Monday: Pray for divine appointments this week to share our faith, & care for those whom the Lord will draw to Himself through us.

Tuesday:Pray for all those in the church leadership position of privilege & responsibility that the Lord continue to grant them wisdom, discernment & courage as they seek to lead by example & service.

Wednesday: Pray for pastor Jonathan Turner & the Baptist Church in Nairn, that the Lord will give them vision & strengthen them as they continue to serve Him faithfully.

Thursday:Pray for churches in St Andrews & Fife, that the Lord’s message may ring out from us not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit & with deep conviction.

Friday: Pray for the healing of those (we know & don’t know) with long standing physical & mental heath struggles.

Saturday: Pray for the peace, shelter & settlement of those displaced due conflicts, wars, or disasters as a consequence of climate change. Pray also for justice for those victims of injustice or miscarriage of justice.
