From the Micah team: Christian Aid’s response to the recent UK Govt announcement to reduce overseas aid is available through this link (https://tinyurl.com/ymsxu546) and for those who wish to get involved there is a call to action to sign a petition. Thank you.

Awake has now finished for the summer, we will look forward to meeting again in September! We will likely organise a few student/young adult get-togethers over the summer for anyone still in St Andrews—please get in touch with Ethan and Tamara if you are interested.

Exam Prayer: Please be praying for students as they sit exams over the coming weeks! A list of exam timetables for prayer can be found at https://shorturl.at/9IybF If you would like to be added to the list, email students@standrewsbaptist.org.uk with your exam information.

Every summer the churches in St Andrews come together to hold a Holiday Club. This is always a lot of fun involving bible stories, songs, games, crafts and challenges. This year’s holiday club will run in the mornings from Tuesday 12th until Friday 15th August. If you would be interested in volunteering or would like more information please speak to Jenny or email jenny@standrewsbaptist.org.uk.

From Fiona Barnard: Godly Play is hosting a discovery day at St Andrew’s, St Andrews on 31 May 10am-4pm. Godly Play is a powerful way of entering into Bible stories for children, but also for adults. I love it and recommend it highly. More info in person or to sign up online at godlyplayscotland.co.uk

Christian Aid Week 2025: 11-17 May. Many of you will already be aware of Christian Aid and the incredible work they do across the world. Did you also know that each year in May, a door-to-door collection is carried out in support of Christian Aid week? In St Andrews all the churches work together in this door-to-door collection. Last year a grand total of £8,900 was raised of which the Baptist Church collectors raised £714 (£415 of which was gift aided too). This year’s Christian Aid week is seeking to raise funds to help support farmers with vital tools and training so communities can fight the effects of the climate crisis. Could you help by walking along a couple of streets delivering and collecting the envelopes? If so, please speak to Caroline or Mark Rochford who are the church’s new representatives. Thank you.

PRAYER ITEMS FOR MAY:
Sunday: Give thanks to God for all that He is doing in our midst as a church and pray that we may continue to be led by, and keep in step with, the Spirit.
Monday:
Give thanks for the students who are graduating and pray for their future as many of them face big decisions.
Tuesday:
Give thanks for the ministry of Young Life and their leaders. Pray for the Lord’s gracious hand upon all their upcoming outreach events in summer.
Wednesday:
Give thanks for the love that there is in our church and pray that our love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that we may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ.
Thursday:
Give thanks for the leaders of the nations and pray for them. Pray also for peace and justice in the world.
Friday:
Give thanks and pray that as a church and individuals we may be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.
