Welcome Students!
Hello! Whether you are a new or returning student, we are delighted you’re here. We love to welcome students into our community at SABC and to share life with you during your time here in St Andrews (and beyond!). Here are few ways to get plugged in, find support, and get involved….
Sunday student welcome events:
On Sunday 13 September, we will start with coffee and donuts before the morning service (9:30am). Come along and enjoy some fellowship before the service starts (at 10am).
After the morning service there will be a student BBQ at the Knudsons’ after the morning service. This will be a relaxed opportunity for students to spend time together, meet others, and get connected as the new year gets underway.
Then, on Sunday 20 September, we will have an all-church picnic at Craigtoun Park after the morning service. Everyone is welcome! If you are able, please bring some snacks or food to share.
We have also rented the Marquee at Craigtoun Park, so there will be plenty of dry space available if the weather does not cooperate.
We hope these Sundays will be a really good way to welcome students, reconnect as a church family, and begin the new year together.
Sundays service are 10am and 6.30pm in the St Andrews Baptist Church at 132 South Street, St Andrews.
Getting connected:
Awake – Every Wednesday evening during term time, Ethan and Tamara host a student gathering in their home. Come along for soup, worship, Bible study, and prayer. This is a great place to connect with other students and support one another through the year. For more details, reach out to students@standrewsbaptist.org.uk.
We also have a thriving international community here at SABC. If you are interested in joining a weekly gathering, prayer time, or ministry that focuses on support for our international students, we would love to get you connected! Feel free to reach out to fiona@standrewsbaptist.org.uk.
We also have a number of small, intergenerational discipleship groups that meet weekly to pray and learn to follow Jesus together. If you are interested in joining a discipleship group, email Belinda at discipleship@standrewsbaptist.org.uk.
There are also many ways to get involved and serve at SABC, from kids’ ministry to music to tech. If you’d like to learn more about our ministries and how to get involved email clayton@standrewsbaptist.org.uk or speak to anyone on our leadership team.
We look forward to connecting with you soon!
