St Andrews Baptist Church – Online Ministry and Live Stream leader
(part time position – 15 hours per week)
Background
St Andrews Baptist Church is an evangelical Baptist Church, a member of the Baptist Union of Scotland and the Evangelical Alliance. We seek to live under the Lordship of Christ, expressed in our commitment to the authority of scripture and openness to the Holy Spirit. We enjoy a balanced style of worship with lively singing, led by musicians playing both contemporary and traditional worship music.

We currently have a membership of 150+ with our morning services attracting between 220 – 250 worshippers – many visitors, holiday makers and students at the university make up this number. Our evening service numbers average 60 – 70 people attending. Due to the current Pandemic restrictions, all services and meetings are currently on-line only.
We have a number of ministry teams and House Groups to support people of all ages and have seen a growth in ministry to university students and young people in recent years.
St Andrews Baptist Church (SABC) is a registered charity (Scottish Charity Number SC008794), established for religious purposes and registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
The role and candidate specification
The successful candidate will become part of the staff team led by our pastor along with two standing committees – elders, guiding spiritual direction & deacons, serving as trustees of the charity.
The candidate will be appointed by SABC and will be a committed Christian (Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, parts 1(1-3) pertains). Ideally, the appointee will be active in church life and have some knowledge of St Andrews Baptist Church and its needs, opportunities and vision, and be enthusiastic about online outreach. Evidence of ability to work in a team is essential.
The post-holder must be able to plan and manage their own workload to ensure that all the tasks are completed timeously and to a high standard. This will require efficient short-term, mid-term and long-term planning as well as the setting up of clearly defined targets to ensure milestones are met.
The post-holder will be required to interact with the pastor, leadership team, members, non-church attenders, other churches and their affiliates, as required.
Main Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to take on the following roles:
Co-ordinating the online presence of SABC ministries (8 hours)
Facilitating and assisting the leadership team to envision how SABC does online outreach, with a special focus on the local community
Supporting the online presence of the current SABC ministry teams (e.g. Awake, Micah Ministry, Beacon Kids, Missions Team, Fruit Farm Ministry)
Professionalising the online presence of SABC
Promoting SABC and its mission via the website and other social media platforms
Leading the SABC live stream team ( 5 hours)
Co-ordinating the live stream rota
Providing leadership, direction and training to further improve the quality of live streamed services
Regularly operating/overseeing the live stream of services/meetings
Attending staff team meetings (2 hours)
Attending, as appropriate, meetings of various church ministry teams

The position
The post is a part time position for 15 hours per week (days and times can be negotiated). The salary is £9500. The post is initially for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
